Numeric - From The Top
*Objective - To be the first player to make a 4 card equation to a specific total
*Plays with 4 cards, 2+ players
*Set Up
Start by pulling the #9 card from the deck and placing it face up on the table. #9 becomes the number all players equations must equal in this round. The player does not to supply the #9 card, just the equation that equals it.
Deal each player 4 cards face down. With the remaining deck, turn the top card face up and place it next to the deck. This is the discard pile.
*Game Play
Each player, in turn, picks up from either the face down deck or the discard pile. They can choose to either keep that card in their hand and discard another card or, discard that card face up on to the discard pile. At the end of each turn you must have only 4 cards in your hand.
Play now moves to the next player who again chooses either the top card on the discard pile or the next face down card and discards. Play continues until one player "wins" by discarding a card and laying down a complete 4 card equation that equals the value of the original number first pulled from the deck (in this case #9) This hand is now score (see scoring instructions below)
Play continues by placing the #9 card back in the deck, and pulling out the #8 card, shuffling the deck and dealing 4 cards to each player. In this next hand the winning equation must equal 8. The winning equation is once again totaled and scored and play continues using the #7 card and so on through the #0 card.
*Scoring
The player who made the first equation equaling the designated sum (ex-#9) and discards, adds the value of their cards together, including the sum card, and that is their score. Play ends when either someone reaches a predetermined score, or all 10 rounds (0-9) have been played and scores have been totaled. High score is the winner.
